An Evening on Brookhurst: Dessert in Little Arabia

Choco Fruit team, 2026-10-12

Brookhurst Street in west Anaheim is a street people plan evenings around. Its restaurants, cafés and bakeries make it an easy place to meet friends or bring the family, and an evening here often has a simple shape: dinner first, then something sweet. This post is about the second half of that evening.

What Little Arabia is

Little Arabia is the stretch of Brookhurst Street between Broadway and Ball Road in Anaheim. Since the 1990s, this part of Brookhurst has been a center of Arab-American restaurants, cafés, bakeries and markets. In 2022, the City of Anaheim officially designated the area as Little Arabia.

The district is a working neighborhood as much as a destination. People come here for groceries, a weekend lunch, fresh bread or a late dinner, and visitors from around Southern California come to explore the food.

Where Choco Fruit fits in

Choco Fruit sits at 638 S Brookhurst St, inside the Little Arabia stretch. We are a dessert shop, not a dinner restaurant, which makes us an easy second stop. You have eaten well, you are not ready to go home yet, and someone at the table asks the usual question: where should we get dessert?

Our answer is crêpes, waffles, mini pancakes and fruit cocktails, made at live stations in front of you. You can watch the batter go down on the griddle, the fruit go on, and the chocolate get poured over the top. For kids especially, watching the order come together is part of the treat.

What to order after dinner

After a big meal, you may not want a heavy plate. Here are some ideas, depending on how full you are.

Still have room for a full dessert. Go for a crêpe. The Special Belgian Crepe ($12.99) is a triple chocolate crêpe with banana and strawberry, and the Lotus Crepe ($12.99) comes with Lotus spread, Lotus cookie crumbs, a white chocolate drizzle and vanilla ice cream. Our crêpes menu has the full list.

Want something to share. The Sushi Crepe ($13.99) comes in eight pieces, so everyone at the table can take one or two. The Chocofruit Dipping (6 Items) ($23.99) lets the table choose six items, from strawberries and pineapple to cream puffs and brownies, for dipping in chocolate.

Want something cold and fresh. A fruit cocktail is a natural end to a Levantine dinner. The Lebanese Fruit Cocktail ($13.99) layers fresh fruit with a fruit smoothie, whipped cream, condensed milk and honey. Browse all of the cups on our fruit cocktails menu.

Just a little something. One frosted chocolate strawberry is $3.99, and a skewer is $8.99. Both are easy to eat on the walk back to the car.

Something to sip. A milkshake starts at $7.99 for a medium, in flavors including Lotus, Nutella and Oreo. See the rest on the drinks menu.

Late hours

Dinner on Brookhurst often runs late, and dessert should not have to end early. Choco Fruit keeps serving until 11:30 PM, seven nights a week. We open at 3 PM Monday through Friday, at noon on Saturday and at 11 AM on Sunday. That leaves plenty of time after a late dinner, and on weekends it also makes room for an afternoon visit.

If you are coming close to closing time, it helps to order ahead so your dessert is ready when you arrive.

Parking and getting there

The shop has its own large lot, which matters on a busy Brookhurst evening. Inside, there is plenty of seating, so a big family can sit together. If you are driving in from elsewhere in Orange County, the full address is 638 S Brookhurst St, Anaheim, CA 92804. Our locations page has the map, hours and phone number.

Ordering ahead

Some evenings you would rather skip the wait. You can order online through our ordering page and pick up at the counter, or have dessert delivered. For delivery, the minimum order is $20 and the fee is $6.99. Late at night, the ordering page shows whether it is still taking orders, since its hours are not always identical to ours.

Ordering ahead also works well when you are bringing dessert to a family gathering. A few crêpes, a box of frosted strawberries and a couple of fruit cocktails can make a living room feel like a celebration.

Planning something bigger

If the evening you are planning is a wedding, an engagement, a graduation or an Eid gathering, our catering team can bring a chocolate fountain or a dessert crêpe station to you. Fountain packages with dipping items start at $595. Read more on our chocolate fountain catering page.
